This year, Umunyinya got opportunities more than other years. After being invited in Uganda early in April and Rwanda in July, November was also a month of hard work and travel for Umunyinya. Umunyinya Theatre was invited in Rwanda to represent Burundi in Kina Festival.

It is a festival for children. On its fourth Edition, umunyinya theatre was lucky to be invited to perform in that international theatre festival where hundreds of children come and enjoy the international view of their fun. It is organized by Ishyo arts Center headed by the courageous Carole U Karemera.
This year, the Festival brought together companies from Germany, Cameroon, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Rwanda and Burundi was not forgotten. From November 8th to 12th, these companies were performing for children from Kigali caring centers and individual families.
Umunyinya performed “An after dream”, a motion theatre written by Rivardo Niyonizigiye and directed by Arthur Banshayeko. It is a story of a young woman addicted to social media. After a nightmarish night, she woke up late, drives quick and bumps into an old man. The latter does not die. He will show kindness, tolerance and love against the harsh policeman who wanted to apply law.

Umunyinya comedians have got time to share with other artists about theatre for young audiences along the festival and during  the workshops.  They testify that they learnt much about universality and say that they enjoyed and learnt much from the productions of other countries.
“I had amazing times with other artists, we shared a lot of things”, says Dorine Munezero, a performer.
An after dream was performed by Dorine Munezero, Audace Ndabahawe, Elysée Nimubona and Arthur Banshayeko.
